Preface to the exhibition
Since the stone age, natural stone has always been an important carrier of human writing and artistic creation, and Chinese stone carving art reached its peak in the Han and Tang Dynasties. There are 64 groups (88 pieces) on display in this exhibition, which are divided into three categories: Buddhist relics, tomb carvings and other stone carvings. Carving technology covers round carving, relief, openwork, relief carving, line carving and so on. It is of great artistic value and academic research value.
